Method

  1. Blend the Base:

Add the cubed watermelon, lime juice, rose water, sweetener if using, and water or coconut water to a blender.
    Blend until smooth and frothy.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Notice the vibrant pink colour swirling and blending. Listen to the hum of the blender — steady, continuous.
👧 Kid Prompt: “What colour is this, sunset pink or flower juice?”
💬 Prompt: “What does this smell like, sweet, floral, or fresh?”
  2. Strain (Optional):

If you prefer a smoother texture, pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to remove any pulp.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Watch the liquid flow slowly through, separating smooth from textured.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Is this like making a silky juice or magic potion?”
💬 Prompt: “How does changing the texture change the feeling?”
  3. Shape the Patties:

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of mixture and form into small rounds.
Place on a plate and continue until all of the mixture is used up.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Roll and shape slowly. Notice the warmth of your hands forming each patty.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Are we making little pancakes or veggie coins?”
💬 Prompt: “What does it feel like to shape something with your hands?”
  4. Chill + Serve:

Chill in the fridge to infuse the flavours or our into a glass over ice.
Garnish with edible flowers, lemon slices or fresh mint, if desired.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Notice the coolness of the glass in your hand and the gentle clink of ice.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Should we decorate it like a fancy drink or a garden drink?”
💬 Prompt: “What makes this feel special to you?”
  5. Sip Slowly:

Let your body feel the coolness. Let your chest open. Let your nervous system breathe.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Take a slow sip. Let it linger before swallowing.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Does this drink feel cool like water or soft like a cloud?”
💬 Prompt: “Where do you feel the coolness in your body?”
