Method

Tap the time in each step to start a build-in timer and cook with a little more ease and flow. Be sure to have your volume up to hear the timer chimes!
    1. Steep the Lavender:

Add the culinary grade lavender or tea bags (if using) to a heat-safe bowl or jar.
Pour over the boiling water and steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Watch the steam rise and take a slow breath in. Notice the floral aroma filling the space. Let this waiting time become a pause rather than a delay.
👧 Kid Prompt: “What does lavender smell like? A garden, a pillow, or a fairy tea party?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What happens in your body when you slow down enough to simply smell?”
    2. Strain & Sweeten:

Strain out the lavender sprigs or tea bags.
Stir in some maple syrup or honey and a pinch of sea salt while warm. Adjust the amount of maple syrup or honey to your level of desired sweetness.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Notice the gentle swirl as the sweetener dissolves. Watch how small additions create balance.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Can you make a slow swirl that looks like a tiny whirlpool?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What helps bring balance into your day?”
    3. Mix with Lemon & Chill:

Add in some fresh lemon juice and cold water (or sparkling water for a bit of bubbles) to a pitcher.
Pour in the lavender infusion and stir gently.
Optional: chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or pour over ice, if short on time.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Notice the colours blending together. Inhale the brightness of the lemon and the softness of the lavender.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Does this smell more sunny or more flowery?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What feels bright in your life right now?”
    4. Serve with Intention:

Pour over ice or serve chilled.
Garnish with edible petals or a lemon wheel.
      Sip slowly, with awareness.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Feel the coolness of the glass in your hands before taking a sip. Let your shoulders soften.
👧 Kid Prompt: “If this drink had a magical name, what would it be?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What do you notice first? The coolness, the sweetness, or the lemon?”
