Tap the time in each step to start a build-in timer and cook with a little more ease and flow. Be sure to have your volume up to hear the timer chimes!
    1. Scoop & Slice:

Use a melon baller to scoop out the watermelon or cut into bite-sized cubes.
Slice the cucumber into thick half-moons or cubes.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Notice the coolness of the fruit in your hands and the vibrant colours. Let your movements be slow and playful.
👧 Kid Prompt: “What shapes do you see? Little moons, sunshine circles, or tiny gems?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What do you notice about the colours and textures before we begin?”
    2. Infuse with Brightness:

Toss the watermelon and cucumbers with rose water, lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Pause to smell the rose water and lime before mixing. Notice how the floral and citrus scents awaken your senses.
👧 Kid Prompt: “What does this smell like, flowers, rain, or summertime?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “Which scent makes you feel the most refreshed?”
    3. Assemble on Spoons:

If you decide to use spoons, place 2 to 3 pieces of fruit onto each spoon. The cucumber in this case will need to be cubed, not sliced.
If you decide to use cucumbers as your base, add the watermelon balls or cubes to the top of each cucumber.
Top both options with fresh mint and optional seeds, cheese or chopped nuts.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Arrange each spoon with care. Notice the beauty in creating something simple and colourful.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Can you make each spoon look like a tiny garden or treasure?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “How does slowing down change the way you create?”
    4. Serve Fresh:

Arrange the spoons or bites on a serving tray and enjoy immediately.
🌿 Mindful Moment: Before taking the first bite, pause and notice the coolness, the colours, and the anticipation.
👧 Kid Prompt: “Which spoon would you choose first, and why?”
💬 Reflective Prompt: “What does this little bite make you grateful for today?”
